In a school district where technology is embraced but is often blocked, there seems to be a double standard. Use it, engage your students with it, but you can only use SOME of it...parts of it. How do we start? Where do we start?
I agree, kids are using a variety of tools to communicate but I do not believe this is making them better communicators. First issue is they do not know how to filter. They will say things in print that they would never say in person. Also, many people, not just kids, are rude with the comfort they have in using technology methods of communication at inappropriate times. Interpersonal skills are being hurt in my opinion.
